Note: the tours scheduled against the scientific programme of the congress (Prague city tour and the day trip to Karlovy Vary) are meant primarily for accompanying persons.

Prague city tour

During the grand sightseeing tour, you will be given all the basic information about the Golden Prague’s historical monuments. A bus will take you past the States Opera, the National Museum, Wenceslas Square, Charles Square, Dancing House, National Theatre, Charles Bridge, and the Rudolfinum. From Hradcany place we will walk through the Prague Castle complex with the Cathedral of St. Vitus Basilique St. George, and then we will continue to the Lesser Town.


Boat trip + dinner

Time: 7 August 2019, 18:00-20:00 or 20:00-22:00

Price: 25 EUR

Cruise with dinner and music for 2 hours (18:00-20:00 or 20:00-22:00). The bus will take you at 17.15 /19.15 from the congress venue to the Vltava river where you board an air-conditioned boat and go upstream, where you can savour the view of the Prague Castle in the light of the street lamps and the moon. Dinner buffet can be enjoyed anytime during the cruise.


Day tour to Karlovy Vary

Karlovy Vary is the most famous spa town in the Czech Republic, the history of the city dates back to the 14th century, the time of Charles IV. The local mineral springs were used as medical treatments on greats such a Tsar Peter the Great and the writer Goethe. One of the most famous attraction is the Hot Spring that spews boiling healing water up to a height of 12 m. You will visit the Museum of traditional liqueur Becherovka made from a unique blend of herbs and spices. Lunch awaits you in Grandhotel Ambassador. You can look forward to a wide range of historical and modern colonnades and taste water from 12 natural mineral springs. You will be amazed at products of the Moser glassworks. Price includes lunch and entrance to the Becherovka museum with tasting of liquor.


Half-day tour to Kutná Hora

Kutna Hora was the medieval center of silver mining and the second richest town of Bohemian Kingdom. You will visit the Gothic Cathedral of St. Barbara and unique stone fountain from the 15th century. During lunch you will taste local specialties in the traditional Czech restaurant Dacicky. Tour also includes a visit to Ossuary – Bone Church, one of the most interesting burial places in the world. It is decorated with more than 40.000 human bones. The city has been protected by UNESCO since 1995. Price includes lunch, entrance to the Cathedral of St. Barbara and to the Ossuary.
